I had nothing but sympathy for Mark Sanford's wife, but after her statement, I have quite a bit of respect for her as well. This woman's life has been crushed, but she's determined to stay focused on her children.
And because of her children, she told her husband to kick rocks--but her ultimate goal is to return her children to a life with both of their parents. Whether she and Sanford truly reconcile isn't the issue. Jenny Sanford is standing up for herself and her children--and she's standing apart from her man.
